Mangarpal

A Chandravanshi Rajput clan descended from Raja Mangarpal son of Hani Dev. Hani Dev emigrated to present day Sialkot from Bikaner Jangladesh in the twelfth century. Hani Dev's brother Nirmal Dev continued to live in Bikanir.

Mangarpal was a skilled warrior and very young when his father died. The ambitious and adventurous Rajkumar set out towards Kashmir present day Kotli. He was so enamoured by the beautiful valley that he decided to settle in what is now known as Kotli Mangralan.
