Manderscheid, Bernkastel-Wittlich

Manderscheid is a town in the district Bernkastel-Wittlich, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a spa town in the Eifel. It has 1328 inhabitants (May 2004) on 10,06 km², and is the seat of administration of the Verbandsgemeinde Manderscheid.

Manderscheid is known for its two castles (the upper and lower castle). Other tourist attractions are the gem cutter, the local history museum and the museum about the Maars. Manderscheid lies on the river Lieser, which one can follow on the pedestrian way "Lieserpfad" to Daun or Wittlich.

The Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Manderscheid consists of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"):
