Manchester Exchange station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Manchester Exchange Station was a railway station located to the north of the city centre. It served Liverpool and Warrington, and originally provided alternative services to London. It was opened by the LNWR. It was located next to the River Irwell and had platform links with the adjacent Manchester Victoria Station. It was closed in May 1969 and all services redirected to Manchester Victoria Station. The site is now occupied by a car park.
