Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ or MIS Quarterly) is an academic journal that publishes original peer-reviewed research articles in the areas of Information Systems and Information Technology. Along with Information Systems Research, MISQ is widely regarded by IS/IT researchers as one of the two most prestigious journals in the information systems discipline.[citation needed] MISQ is published by the MIS Research Center at the University of Minnesota. The current editor-in-chief of MIS Quarterly is Carol Saunders.

MISQ describes its objectives as:

"...the enhancement and communication of knowledge concerning the development of IT-based services, the management of information technology resources, and the economics and use of information technology with managerial and organizational implications." [1]

MIS Quarterly was first published in 1977.
