Man Date

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A man date - "two heterosexual men socializing without the crutch of business or sports."

The first documented use of the term was in the television sitcom Scrubs in episode 302-"My Journey" which aired on October 9, 2003.

Another early use of the term was found in a April 8, 2005 New York Times article written by Jennifer 8. Lee. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/10/fashion/10date.html?ex=1270785600&en=37be779e04f07228&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt

Although the movie "Sideways" has been classified as "one long and boozy man date," it would more appropriately be classified as a "road trip."
