Mamoru Takamura is a fictional character from the anime and manga series Fighting Spirit (Japanese Title - はじめの一歩, Hajime no Ippo). Though many consider him to be a lecher and very arrogant, Takamura is the strongest boxer in the entire series. He has never lost a match and has incredible athletic ability.

Disowned by his family, Takamura spent most of his youth getting into fights and beating up anyone that came his way.

- Mamoru Takamura vs Yoshiaki Yajima
- This was the Japanese Middleweight Championship match (10 rounder). Takamura won by KO in the 1st round.
- Mamoru Takamura vs Mountain Bear
- This was an encounter on a mountain path. Takamura was walking around in the woods while the Kamogawa Gym members were visiting Nekota. A bear shows up and Takamura fights to defend his life. Because a bear's body mass was more muscle than a human's, Takamura's punches couldn't do much of anything to it. After getting slashed on his chest, Takamura discovered that the bear's forehead was it's weakpoint. He continually punched there until the bear fell over.
- Mamoru Takamura vs Takaaki Ito
- This was Takamura's 4th title defense (10 rounder). Takamura won by KO in the 1st round using only his left hand. He refused to use his right in order to show his power and challenge the world boxing stage. Before hand the Kamogawa Gym had heard that the WBC was interested in World matches for Takamura. Takamura also came out wearing a bear skin(because of the unverified rumor of him defeating a bear) and showed off the scar on his chest.
