Malmö Municipality is a Swedish municipality, an administrative entity. It consists of the Swedish city Malmö and its immediate surroundings. Malmö Municipality calls itself Malmö Stad (City of Malmö).

It should be noted that the Urban area of Malmö is larger than here because its extends beyond the municipality into Burlöv Municipality and there incorporates the town Arlöv. The figure here represents the inhabitants within the borders of Malmö Municipality only.
