Mallory Factor

Mallory Factor is Chairman of the Free Enterprise Fund ("FEF"): Mr. Factor is a longtime friend of the two FEF Policy Co-Chairman, Arthur Laffer and Lawrence "Larry" Kudlow. FEF has listed five "take action" campaigns on their website (https://www.myfef.org/bin/action.center.election). Four of these campaigns are common conservative financial reforms themes (Repeal Death Tax, Reform Social Security, Reform Sarbanes-Oxley and Budget Reform). The fifth campaign is to Stop MoveOn.org. FEF has produced a television commercial with its central theme asserting that MoveOn.org was started by and run by billionaire George Soros. MoveOn.org can hardly be considered anything but a grassroots organization started in 1998 by Joan Blades and Wes Boyd, two Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who neither had experience in politics. MoveOn.org has over 3.3 million members, of which George Soros is one, who joined in 2003 and donated $5 million. It is ironic that FEF has attepmted to label MoveOn.org as a mere political front for Mr. Soros, when in fact the three principles of MoveOn.org had no DC political experience, and FEF is actually a political front for Factor, Laffer and Kudlow, three long time DC insiders, with few other members.
Mallory Factor is also a co-founder of the Monday Meeting, based in New York City. A former New York businessman and investor, according to Roll Call Factor is moving his residence to South Carolina amidst turmoil in his political group.
Mr. Factor is also the President and Founder of MALLORY FACTOR INC, an independent merchant bank and financial relations consultancy that advises public and private companies in various fields including biotechnology, technology, financial services and manufacturing.
Mr. Factor is the Chairman of the New York Public Asset Fund and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Investment Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Governors of the New York State Banking Department. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and served as Vice-Chair of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on Terrorism Financing.
Mr. Factor speaks frequently on terror financing and has testified on terrorism financing before the U.S. Senate Committees on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services. Mr. Factor serves as a member of a number of corporate and not-for-profit boards. He is a director and the volunteer treasurer of Metropolitan College of New York. He also serves on the boards of Brooklyn Academy of Music and the American Theatre Wing. Mr. Factor has also been involved in New York Broadway for many years and currently serves on the Tony Award Administration Committee.
Mr. Factor was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to the Federal Savings and Loan Advisory Council of the Federal Home Loan Bank. He has held adjunct professorships at New York University Graduate School of Continuing and Professional Studies and the New School University Graduate School of Management and Urban Professions.
Prior to establishing his financial consulting business, Mr. Factor was a supervisor of management consulting services at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Mr. Factor is a graduate of Wesleyan University, and he attended Columbia University Graduate Business and Law Program.
