Malini

Malini or Mālinī (मालिनी) was the name of river that was flowing in the forest where the ashrama of Kanva rishi was situated and Dushyanta fell in love with Shakuntala. Literally, a woman who makes garlands. The Hindu goddess Kali has "munda-malini" or "a woman who makes garlands of skulls" as one of her many names.
