Malik (tribe)

Malik is a Muslim tribe mainly settled in Pakistan and some in Bihar, India. These are the descendants of Syed Ibrahim Malik Biya whose 7th great grandfather in the family tree was Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jelani, One of the Great Sufis in Islam. Syed Ibrahim Migrated from Baghdad in 1339 AD to Afghanistan and were settled in Ghazni. He was the man of great knowledge and great warrior. Knowledge seekers from far areas were coming there to quench the thirst of getting the pearls of wisdom from him. The Sultan Muhammad Tughlaq invited him to educate his forces. He was given the command of the Indian forces. He showed his full competency and neutralized many revolts in the troubled areas of India. He introduced the system of fair justice to all and became very popular because of all these acts. He died in 1352. His tomb is in Bihar India.
