The Maliboomer is an attraction at the Paradise Pier section of Disney's California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It is an S&S Power "Space Shot" design, meaning it launches from the bottom of the tower, rather than being lifted to the top and dropped from there, which is used in S&S Power's other design, named the "Turbo Drop." The ride is pneumatically powered, with all three towers having independent ride systems.
The concept of the Maliboomer comes from a space-themed version of the popular "high striker" attraction on most Boardwalks and Carnivals. The concept is that muscle men try to test their strength by hitting a mallet and ringing the bell, to impress their dates by winning them a large stuffed animal. The attraction receives its name in homage to the beach town of Malibu, California.
