Malcesine is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about 120 km northwest of Venice and about 40 km northwest of Verona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,498 and an area of 68.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Malcesine contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cassone and Navene.
Malcesine borders the following municipalities: Avio, Brentonico, Brenzone, Ferrara di Monte Baldo, Limone sul Garda, Nago-Torbole, Riva del Garda, Tignale, and Tremosine.
Malcesine lies of the border of Lake Garda, the most frequented and biggest lake in Italy. *1
