Yeah, I agree that at present it reads like promotional material, however, I've spent some time toning it down. I don't understand why you people are so anxious to jump on articles other people have tried to work on and bring up to par, and tag them with "OMG THIS ARTICLE IS SHIT, MUST DELETE IMMEDIATELY!" No wonder people hate Wikipedia so much.

No, I have no affiliation with the site. I don't even have an account there. It's still interesting and likely to be of use to anyone seeking background information.
