Makra is a scenic peak in the Hazara region in the Himalayas. It is 3586 m /11655 feet high. It almost 200 km from the Islamabad on Naran road. From Kiwai a jeep track goes upwards to Shivgeran a tourist place, from the track goes upward to Payee Lake and ends at Seree. From here it is a walking trek of 3 hours to the top of Makra.

Although it is an easy peak but deaths have occurred in storms. In spite of the difficulties, the top offers the unforgettable scenery. The majestic Himalayas of Kashmir is before you.

Waters of its glacier feed the Kunhar river.
