MLC Appoints Karthik Polsani Chief Technical Officer February 16th, 2006
Major League Cricket announced today that Karthik Polsani has been appointed Chief Technical Officer effective immediately. Mr. Polsani will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of all required technological systems from E-Commerce and web technologies to database driven applications, along with biomechanics and sports technology software including equipment for use in coaching and training. Mr. Polsani will be exploiting the use of technology to assist in positioning MLC as the leading organization on the development of cricket in the United States. In addition to his responsibilities above Karthik will also work closely with the Marketing and Public Relation department of MLC in other initiatives.
Karthik holds a Masters in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University where he contributed to the game of cricket in his capacity as captain, organizer and keen supporter of the game. He also holds a B.E. in electronics and communications.
Karthik’s passion for cricket has involved him in all aspects during the last 15 years. Not only has he captained teams in India and the U.S. but he has also organized many cricket competitions in as many years. Most recently, Karthik organized a highly successful corporate cricket tournament in India, bringing together 30 teams from internationally renowned corporations like Microsoft, Oracle, General Electric, Infosys, Wipro, Nokia, Ericsson, Country Oven, Coca Cola and a host of others, as well as roping in sponsors for the project.
Welcoming Mr.Karthik Polsani on board, MLC’s President and CEO, Bernard J.Cameron said, “We looked forward to the deployment of Karthik’s technological expertise for the further growth and development of U.S. cricket. On the field, Karthik is a versatile cricketer with strong batting and fielding skills and a proven record of excellence in captaincy.”
