Majestic Petra is the first ever British-Arab cultural relations festival to be held in the Middle East.
In April 2007, the Majestic Petra Festival will be held in Petra, Jordan aiming to forge UK-Arab cultural, media and literary ties. A dynamic group comprising some of most prominent and talented British and Jordanian/Arab thinkers, philosophers, authors, diplomats, broadcasters, artists and media personalities will gather in Petra to celebrate this first ever significant UK-Arab Festival promoting mutual respect, peace and understanding.
The Majestic Petra Festival will feature some of the most prominent British and Arab cultural, media and diplomatic figures. The festival programme consists of important discussions, lectures, theatre and musical performances and debates. Gala dinners, royal events and visits, celebration of Bedouin traditions and culture (music, bedouin dances, poetry, sword displays and camel races) will all take place. British and Arab Media delegations will be travelling to Petra to cover the festival.
