Majead Ansari

Hojjat al-Islam val-Muslimin Majead Ansari (حجتالاسلام مجید انصاری; born in Zarand, Kerman province), also spelled Majid Ansari is an Iranian politician and cleric. He was the Iranian Vice President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs from October 12, 2004 to August 29, 2005, appointed by President Mohammad Khatami. He replaced the resigning Mohammad Ali Abtahi and was replaced by Ahmad Mousavi (as appointed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad).
Ansari is also a representative to the Iranian Assembly of Experts and a member of the Expediency Discernment Council. Politically, he is a member of the Central Council of Militant Clerics Society (Majma'e Rowhaniyoon-e Mobarez).
Previously, he has been a representative of Tehran in the Majlis of Iran until 2004.
