Maile Meloy

Maile Meloy (born 1972) is an American author of fiction. She was born and raised in Helena, Montana.
Meloy graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a M.F.A. in fiction. She previously earned a bachelor's degree from Harvard College (1994). She currently resides in Los Angeles.
In 2001 she won the Aga Khan Prize for Fiction from The Paris Review for “Aqua Boulevard”.
She is also the sister of musician Colin Meloy, a solo artist and member of the Decemberists.
