Earl, Catalina and Randy decide to clean out a mailbox that they'd used as a trash can in the past, and find some old letters that had never reached their intended recipients. Earl and Catalina eventually sets out to reunite a would-be couple that had drifted apart due to one of the lost letters, but Earl is tempted by his own attraction to the woman (Jenny McCarthy). In a subplot, Joy reads another of the letters and discovers that Darnell is in the Witness Protection Program, and throws him out of the trailer for not telling her sooner.
