Content selected on quality, as portal is supposed to showcase good work

  • Featured article - Mumbai is the only one available - easy choice (none by default)
  • Featured picture - same as above
  • Selected biography - I looked at the list in Marathi people - Shivaji would appear to be the most important person, but there are NPOV quality issues with his biography and there is a lack of a good, free use photo. B. R. Ambedkar was had a Peer review and is in good NPOV, lots of info, has a pic.
  • Did you know section - I basically used the stuff from User:Nichalp he is a bureaucrat and all of those ones made it on Main Page DYK so they pass the quality requirements of NPOV, sourcing, and one has a photo. Feel free to add more if they satisfy NPOV, sources.
  • News -I copied from Portal:India/news - we could do with more events

A great job in creating this portal. Need to maintain it well. I am toying with the idea of creating a WikiProject for Maharashtra. That would be good. OK, I will create it. Any Marathi-interested editors please join the project and improve Marathi-related articles. Thanks
