Mahdi (Dune)

Mahdi is a term from the Dune universe created by Frank Herbert. Mahdi is borrowed from the Arabic language where it means "Guided One". The term in the series of novels refers to what the Fremen call Paul Atreides and means "The One Who Will Lead Us to Paradise".
