Maha Sarakham is a town in Thailand, capital of the Maha Sarakham Province in the region of Isan, Thailand's Northeast. Although lacking in many features of urban infrastructure - railways, shopping malls, cinemas - due to its proximity to Khon Kaen city, it is the home to Mahasarakham University.
