[edit] License tagging for Image:Dulcebeat20.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Dulcebeat20.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:04, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] removing others tags

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Jesterjester 03:05, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Cocktail1.jpg

Hi, Magg 608. I have reverted the version of Image:Cocktail1.jpg that you uploaded. You replaced an image that was widely used on Wikipedia with the album cover. If you wish to reupload the album cover, please do so, but please be sure that any image uploaded takes into account the image use policy. Note that I have also removed the image link from Cocktail (album). Cheers, Lbbzman 18:49, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV

Hello there! Image:Smile.png Could you please check Wikipedia:Neutral point of view to see why I edited most of the pages about the A*Teens. Also- a new sentence begins with a capital letter! --PrinceYuki 11:20, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

It's me again. Thanks for replying! I'm glad I helped you, you really did a great job. I understand why you reverted now! As far as the citations, I do know those facts (not all of them, of course) but here people want links to sites that give you the information for those important facts. Since you said you've got that info taped, you can always add == References == and then put (for example) * MTV Mexico, Total Request, 18 July 2001 (or something like that, I even think the date is not needed)! I also left you a message at the A*Teens' site yesterday! Good luck! --PrinceYuki 07:24, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] It's Raining Men (Geri Halliwell)

Hi there! First of all, thank you for making a separate page for Geri Halliwell's version of It's Raining Men. But, just for future reference, if ever you are splitting a page into two, please make sure pages and articles about the new subject that still have links to the old page needs to be re-linked to the new page. You can find out what pages are linked to a page by viewing the "What links here" section on the left of each article. I have re-linked all the pages that needs to be linked up to It's Raining Men (Geri Halliwell) already, so you don't have to worry about that. Happy editing! smileydude66 06:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Your333dd.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Your333dd.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 09:37, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cool (song)

Your recent contribution(s) to to the Wikipedia article Cool (song) are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks! Extraordinary Machine 11:29, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Pinkcan'ttakemehome.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Pinkcan'ttakemehome.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
