Magnificent Mile Lights is a festival taking place annually in Chicago's Magnificent Mile in Michigan Avenue. The festival takes about 2 days. After the parade of lights, which starts with Mickey Mouse, shopping hours are extended to start the holiday season. The parade has been going since 1991.

Thousands come to see the parade floats and see the light display and ring in the unofficial start to the shopping season in Chicago. The shopping season begins the day after Thanksgiving.
