Maflahi

Muflahi (Arabic: مفلحي [Muflaḥī]), or the Muflahi Sheikhdom (Arabic: مشيخة المفلحي [Mashyakhat al-Muflaḥī]), was a state in the British Aden Protectorate. It was originally one of the five sheikhdoms of Upper Yafa but joined the Federation of South Arabia and its successor, the Federation of South Arabia, as a separate state. Its last sheikh, al Qasim ibn Abd ar Rahman, was deposed and his state was abolished in 1967 upon the founding of the People's Republic of South Yemen and the area is now part of the Republic of Yemen.
