Maeba Yoshitsugu

Maeba Yoshitsugu (前波吉継?) (????-1574) a retainer of the Japanese clan of Asakura following the Sengoku period of the 16th century of Japan. Yoshitsugu became a very notable retainer under the Asakura throughout his life.

During the Invasion into Echizen, Yoshitsugu defected from the Asakura to serve under Oda Nobunaga, due to him not being treated fairly by his old master. Serving as a guide during the anti-Asakura operation.
