Hi, Maddy. That was the canned welcome message; this isn't. It's always good to see new people joining, and I look forward to reading your articles on your favorite books and musicians, as you described. DS 01:54, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Admin powers
Hey, Maddy. I was looking through the work of "my" newbies, and I have to say that you're off to an excellent start.
And by the way, since you're also reverting vandalism from anonymous contributors, you might like to know about {{subst:test}}, {{subst:test2}}, {{subst:test3}} and {{subst:test4}}, which give progressively sterner warnings against messing up the articles - test4 is the last warning before an admin (like me) blocks them from editing. I left test2 for the guy who messed with your page, for instance. DS 00:29, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
Welcome to the counter vandalism unit (cvu) Cool_cat has written a bot and runs it in an irc room on wikipedia-en-vandalism on freenode.
you can use vw instead of test for warning vandals --☺Adam1213☺ Talk+ 15:48, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
