Long-time anonymous user (roughly since 2003-2004), I recently (mid 2006) decided to register, mainly because I wanted to create some articles, which at some point got reserved for the elect only. I watchlist obsessively, but not indiscriminatively. I'm also a strong inclusionist, and admit that I sometimes chafe under the 'no original research' rule...
Some of my Wikipedia interests include New Zealand, Germany, traffic & transport (engineer in that field), fantasy and science fiction, history and politics. I also like geography articles, because they (usually) provide a bit of a rest from the more fought-over topics. And I like reading/editing pretty much everything else ;-)
