Madison Township, Richland County, Ohio

Madison Township is one of the 18 townships that make up Richland County, Ohio. It is part of the Mansfield, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 14,680, which makes it the most populous township in Richland County, Ohio.
Madison Township is bordered by the City of Mansfield, Franklin Township and Weller Township to the north, Mifflin Township to the east, Washington Township to the south, Springfield Township to the west, Jackson Township on the northwest tip, Troy Township on the southwest tip and Monroe Township on the southeast tip.

The local school district is Madison Local Schools, and the high school is Madison Comprehensive High School.
