[edit] History
Madina Lake, formed in 2005, is comprised of vocalist Nathan Leone, guitarist Mateo Camargo, bassist Matthew Leone and drummer Dan Torelli.
The band signed with Roadrunner Records in August of 2005, and released their debut EP titled The Disappearance of Adalia on August 22, 2006. The band was granted permission by Roadrunner to release the six track disc independently. The EP is available at their live shows or online at smartpunk.com or interpunk.com or on iTunes, Napster, and Rhapsody.
The band's debut album titled From Them, Through Us, To You is set to be released in March of 2007. It was originally slated for an August 2006 release. The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Mark Trombino.
The band itself sets its music in a town created in the mind of the bass player, Matthew Leone. It is set high in the American mountains, and, isolated from human contact, has remained in a 1950s themed era. The music provides an outlet for the band's views on politics, culture, and the media's obsession with celebrity status, a theme dealt with in the form of a murder mystery, the theme behind the band's aforementioned soft released EP, The Disappearance of Adalia
Madina Lake was one of the support acts for Paramore on their Fall 2006 UK tour, and are currently touring with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
