Madhav Singh Solanki is a leader of Indian National Congress party and a former External affairs minister of India and a former chief minister of Gujarat.

In March 1992 He had to resign from the position of External affairs minister when it was discovered he was involved in cover up of Bofors scandal .Solanki visited Davos in Switzerland in 1992 to attend the World Economic Conference allegedly met the Swiss foreign minister Rene Felber there and Solanki allegedly told Felber that inquiries conducted into the scam in India had failed to produce any result and that the request for mutual assistance was based on political considerations .
