Mad Harriet is a New God of Apokolips in the DC Comics universe. Member of the Female Furies, Granny Goodness' elite band of warriors, Mad Harriet is a psychotic madwoman that has the tendency to cackle uncontrollably. An unpredictable sadist, Harriet uses energy-wielded claws to rip her enemies apart.

[edit] History

Mad Harriet was raised in Granny Goodness' orphanage and was noticed by Granny for loving the feeling of torture and pain. One of the first members of the Female Furies, Mad Harriet served Darkseid despite her insanity. During the battle with Suicide Squad, Harriet was almost killed when she attacked the Bronze Tiger and her energy claws backfired. During another mission, Mad Harriet was captured by the Gods of New Genesis but was sent back to Darkseid. Most recently, Mad Harriet was seen as a prostitute in Granny Goodness' brothel, though it is unknown if that was the real Mad Harriet or a delusion.

[edit] Other Media

Mad Harriet appeared on Superman: The Animated Series in several episodes, and was voiced by Andrea Martin. Her first appearance was in the "Little Girl Lost" two-parter, where she, along with Lashina and Stompa, was summoned by Granny Goodness to battle Supergirl. She also appeared later during the series finale two-parter, "Legacy", where she and the others celebrated after Superman's success, and later attacked Superman when he betrayed them. Mad Harriet also appeared in Justice League Unlimited in the first part of the series finale, "Alive".
