Mad Dog (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mad Dog are a hard rock band from London, England. Formed in 2000, they were originally named "Black Dog" as a tribute to the classic Led Zeppelin song. Their first gig came soon after at The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford.
Having changed to their current name in 2004, the band went on to have a successful year, reaching the UK final of Emergenza battle of the bands hosted at the Mean Fiddler on London's Charing Cross Road. Mad Dog eventually came 3rd in the competition, from around 800 original entrants.
In 2005 the band went on to play almost 40 gigs, the most notable no doubt being at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.
2006 has already seen Mad Dog support a couple of big name acts, namely Valume Nob in April, and surprisingly Peter Andre in July at Danson Festival in Danson Park.
