[edit] Ignore Anthony cfc
MacOSx, Welcome. I believe you should ignore User:Anthony cfc, for now. His motive is to build up edits so that he can become an admin. However, his understanding of the encyclopedia is currently at a basic level. You are taking the correct approach. The talk pages are the proper venue for starting out. The links above are great ones on how to get started. Regards, Ancheta Wis 20:23, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Looking for Help
I was browsing "The Drew Carey Show" and noticed that there is a full episode list, but that it's full of links to pages for the episodes that don't exist. Am I allowed to create pages for these episodes, or is it not allowed or not necessary? I would put on each one 1) original air date, 2) credits for the episode (including stars, writers, director, and guest stars), 3) a description of the plot, 4) other tidbits like quotes and goofs from the episodes. I don't want to overstep my boundaries. Thank you, Mac OS X 05:42, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Go for it! As long as you can cite your sources and have correct information for each one, you can contribute practically anything, within limits expressed in the links above. Please mark each one with the {{US-tv-stub}} tag at the end so that things stay nice and categorized. Happy editing! Jfingers88 06:05, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Just happened to notice
I dropped by your user page once more just to see if you had changed it up and such. I noticed that you're working on The Drew Carey Show and its episodes. I haven't taken a look at the pages but going from your user page and talk page it seems that you may be leaving something out. According to the manual of style, names of television shows should be in italics while names of specific episodes should be in "double quotes". Being a Wikignome I usually spend a lot of my time going around and fixing these little things, therefore I'd appreciate it if you could make sure this is done on those pages that you work on. Thanks, Dismas|(talk) 14:07, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'll make note of that and continue on with your changes in mind :) -- Mac OS X 20:30, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Drew Carey Show Help
Thanks for helping me out. Is there any way you can move the "Miss Right" page to "Miss Right (Drew Carey Show episode)"? It needs to be standardized with the rest. I just clicked the link created by someone else on the List of Drew Carey Show episodes and didn't realize it didn't have it. I fixed all of the other episode titles to have the parenthetical note before they are created. When are users able to move pages? Thanks a bunch -- Mac OS X 20:40, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Just an extra note: I have requested the move on Wikipedia:Requested moves yesterday, but there are a lot of requests and there doesn't seem to be too many actually being moved. -- Mac OS X 20:43, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

- Done. And to answer your question, last I heard it wasn't long that you had to wait to move an article. It may be as long as 4 days, I'm not 100% sure and a quick scan of Wikipedia:How to rename (move) a page doesn't help. It shouldn't be long till you can though. - I don't think that the episode title names need to be standardized, though some shows do, and some don't. For the most part, what's put in parenthesis is used for disambiguation. The only ones I titled with (Drew Carey Show episode) were ones where there might be confusion. Disambiguating the rest seems uneccesary, unless an article comes along with the exact same title. For example, I doubt there'll be any other article for, say, Drew and Mrs. Louder. In addition, I wouldn't copy everything from TV.com verbatim, but a detailed summary and the ratings should be fine. Quotes, maybe, but only the best. Despite the couple of little things, you're doing a great job, if you have any questions, ask me! -- SonicAD (talk) 18:34, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit on "List of Macintosh software"
Hi, I just noticed that you added a new category "Apple Pro applications" to List of Macintosh software ([1]). Problem is that your edit starts adding another "dimension" to the list: "similarly branded applications by a same vendor". We've been there before, and the problem is that people will add other categories like "Adobe Pro Apps" etc. soon, and people have no Idea where to find stuff anymore. Here's a suggestion: If you want to have those apps tied together, why don't you create either a category for them, or a special article called "Apple Pro Applications" with a history section and other stuff? Cheers! Peter S. 02:33, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Porcupine
I noticed that you added a link to the Free State Project in the porcupine article. I have started a discussion on that articles talk page, regarding whether or not there should be a link to the FSP article. I am a member of the FSP, but I don't think that there should be a link to the FSP article in the porcupine article without any explanation, if there is a link at all. Please reply on my talk page.
