[edit] Fibonacci Spiral
Hello - could you add an explanation of the Fibonacci spiral to the image in Golden ratio - thanks PAR 3 July 2005 15:02 (UTC)
- Done, although I am certainly no mathematician... -- MacAddct1984 July 4, 2005 07:04 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright tags
Thanks for uploading Image:Photoshop Edit Example.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Krystyn Dominik 04:13, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

- I was the taker and editor of the photo, so I've given it the GFDL tag, thanks for letting me know - MacAddct1984 21:56, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Crawler-Transporter and Mobile Launcher Platform
No, they are not the same thing. The MLP sits atop the Crawler-Transporter. See the NASA factsheet linked from the MLP article's external links section - NASA calls them separate things, too. — ceejayoz ★ 13:19, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I actually realized there was a difference about 5 seconds after I submitted the change. I think the articles still may be better off being merged into one, especially since the MLP article is pretty short. Maybe take the C-T article and have a subsection for the MLP? -- MacAddct1984 15:24, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Homespider.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Homespider.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 02:18, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Homespider02.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Homespider02.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 16:16, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, I probably should have tagged that when I did the other spider photo... thanks for letting me know, tagged now. -- MacAddct1984 22:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello alex, do you have an IM service of some sort that I may contact you? I'm assuming from that which you added to my user talk[1] that you are responding to my call here. ℑilver§ℑide 07:47, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] tamplate change
Per the lyrics of Minor Threat, I'm about to change the SxE template from "This user is straight edge." to "This user has the straight edge." - hope ya don't mind - if ya do, just revert me! --Irishpunktom\talk 14:51, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:36 Crazyfists Members.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:36 Crazyfists Members.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 06:41, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Picture of the day location?
Hi Macaddct - wow, your photo is very similar indeed! The wall in my photo is the wall of Cupples II, a building in the Engineering School at Washington University in St. Louis. I bet it's even the same kind of plant in both pictures. -- Barfooz 04:03, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
