Talk:Mack Dawg Productions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article does not assert the importance of the subject. It is, for example, pointless to call it one ofthe best known snowboard movie studios if none of rhtme are known outside of a very small and specialised circle in the first place. Please provide evidence of significance per WP:CORP: gross turnover, numbers of films sold, awards etc. Thanks. Just zis Guy you know? 13:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Importance of MDP
The reason Mack Dawg is so widely refered to as important & influential comes not from its sales not from its statistics but from its style & from the progression. They've consistantly been the leader in action sports films, especialy snowboarding. The riders are always considered the most talented & the most progressive for the time. They have consistantly had the largest budget out of any snowboard production company & continue to inspire all other snowboard films.MDP is so widely known & recognized that they have a verry spacificaly known style of there own. MDP is verry well shot. It's EXTREMELY Impressive verry technical, MDP is the most professional company in the way they go about filming as well there will not be another person in the shot except the rider proforming the trick. the lighting will never be sub par & the stairs will always be bone dry. its the way they do things its the way they set the bar for all of snowboarding. in short they're important & influential becuase they take the steps twards perfection & profesionalisim that few others do some disagree with this style of filming becuase its not nessicarly about caputring "what snowboarding is about" or "fun" but its more so about caputring the limits & the progression & the efforts of those pushing themselfs & the sport.
On December 06 2006 Fox's FUEL TV aired a whole show produced by Mack Dawg Productions and the photography is second to none. The importance of exposure to amateur and semi-pro snowboarding is rewarding to viewers of a younger age, and WIKIPEDIA should expand on the sport's topics, not threaten to delete this Encyclopedic content!
