Macclesfield (35°10′S 138°50′E, postcode 5153, altitude 272 m) is a small town in the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia.

Macclesfield was named in 1840 after the Earl of Macclesfield by Robert, Samuel and George Francis Davenport, whose father was a steward to the earl in England.

Macclesfield has been served by a primary school since 1876.

Macclesfield is in the District Council of Mount Barker local government area, the state electorate of Heysen and the federal Division of Mayo.
