Macaulay Land Use Research Institute

The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute, in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a world renowned research centre for studies into land use and the environment. It is funded by grants from the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD).
The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute operates three field research stations:
- Glensaugh, Laurencekirk
- Hartwood, Shotts
- Sourhope, Kelso
Macaulay Land Use Research Institute (MLURI), Macaulay Enterprises Ltd (MEL) and Macaulay Research Consultancy Services Ltd (MRCS) are collectively known as The Macaulay Institute.
The Macaulay Institute is a member of the Aberdeen Research Consortium which also includes:
- University of Aberdeen
- Institute of Terrestrial Ecology, Banchory Research Station
- FRS Marine Laboratory, Aberdeen
- Rowett Research Institute
- Robert Gordon University
- Scottish Agricultural College
