MacArthur Middle School

MacArthur Middle School is a learning establishment located in Prospect Heights, Illinois, on the border of Arlington Heights. The school boasts approximately 600 students. The school is predominantly white, but other races include Asians and Hispanics. MacArthur was named after General Douglas MacArthur who served as commander in chief in the Korean War.

MacArthur has an outstanding band led by Mr. Dave Thomas. They have won honors in the following contests: Music in the Parks Contest in Viking Middle School, Chicagoland Music Festival in Hersey High School.

MacArthur has an outstanding frisbee team, with a first place award in the Allstate Frisbee Championships. Their coach is the brave and courageous Ish. Sadly, he will be moving on to another middle school called Friendship Middle School.
