Mały Powstaniec

The Mały Powstaniec (Little Insurgent) is a statue in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

It is located at the ramparts of the Old Town, at 52°14′59″N, 21°0′34″E. The statue, a young boy with a helmet too large for his head and a rifle, represents the children fighting and killed in the Warsaw Uprising. The statue is reputed to be of a fighter who went by the pseudonym of Antek, who was killed around the 8th August 1944. Antek was aged 13.
