M35 motorway (Hungary)

The M35 motorway is presently under construction. After its completion the new 35,27 km section will connect the M3 motorway with Debrecen, in Eastern Hungary. It therefore will provide the city with a direct motorway link to the capital, Budapest.

The section bypassing Debrecen was completed in April 2006 and the whole stretch of road is planned to be opened to the public on 15th December 2006. This will reduce driving time between Debrecen and the capital to under 2 hours.
