M. Govinda Pai

Govinda Pai was a great kannada writer who lived between 1883 and 1963.
The M in his name is refered to as Mangalore by Krishnananda Kamat in his website. But he is well known as Manjeswar Govinda Pai. He was awarded the Rashtra kavi title by the Govt. of Karnataka.
