[edit] Crossing flags

Please do not cross flags on your user page. This may offend others and is even considered a crime in many countries. I am sure you are able to express your valuable opinion in a respectful way. Imagine someone crossed the flag of your country - also a union. ROGNNTUDJUU! 21:39, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:MD4K.JPG

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MD4K.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 21:29, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Wow... I'm so sorry... I clicked on the wrong user link! How embarassing... Please accept my apologies. VandalHunter 22:39, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] If you say yes or no you lose your own Buddha Nature

My mother forgives you. I forgive you. But I have no idea who you are. I'm ranting on your talk page because you deleted my edits to 'quiche.' If you see the buddha on the road, kill him. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.237.42.200 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Firth

Just in case there is still some doubt about the dedication of the Firth spammer: here, here (after all what would a famous Vera Lynn song do without a gratuitous mention of David Firth and his flash animation), here, here, here, here. And I removed a lot of stuff earlier. - Motor (talk) 01:25, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Incidentally, were I as petty as you imagine I would report you for a 3RR rule violation. Since I'm not I won't be doing that. I'll wait until tomorrow and then re-remove David Firth, since, as I've said multiple time there are *no* reliable sources and you are WP:SELF his article, which is already unsourced. In the meantime, I suggest you re-read the response on my talk page, since you obviously didn't take much notice the last time. I already *have* looked for reliable sources since I've been editing the Firth article... that's the reason I removed it and will remove it again. - Motor (talk) 21:46, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your VandalProof Application

Dear M0RHI,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 00:26, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Be careful!

While reverting 'nonesence' you also reverted my edit (University of Pittsburgh), please be careful in the future ([1]).-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus talk 21:23, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

This also copied to your talk page. The vandalism that took place was legitimate for a revert, and I seem not to have noticed legitimate edits, due to some small changes made by the vandaliser! Thanks for the heads up, my apologies, as always, I Assume Good Faith and apologise. M0RHI 01:20, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Of course, mistakes happen, I did a similar accidental deletion just today. We all learn from our mistakes - if we are aware of them :) Happy editing, -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus talk 02:32, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Scottish independence

I do see your point about the different POV tags, I realised this after my primary edit, which is partly why I subsequently removed the tag completely from the article. I removed the tag because a quick perusal of the history of edits to the article shows that the POV tag was applied to the article on June 19th 2006 by User:Ciriii, without justification. A random edit, perhaps. But until there is some concrete evidence of bias in the article as evidenced on the talk pages then I don't see why the tag should be there at all, which is why I removed it. Thanks Globaltraveller 17:55, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Aggers

Yeah, radio coverage is a bit tricky to reference. Tell you what: let it stay for now, with a fact template - I'm sure we'll get some journalist coming out with a similarly intended meaning at the end of the afternoon, and then it can be referenced to there. [edit] Geolinks at Rockall

The Rockall article has been subjected to many PPOV edits in the past (which I don't hesitate to call juvenile) and this looked like another one. Putting it into the GB domain meant that many of the map sources simply stopped working. It looked like a covert attempt to reassert the UK claim. But I ought to have looked at your edit record before assuming bad faith and for that I apologise. --Red King 18:27, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

above refers to the "coor dms" template. I have no idea how the geolink got deleted - I assume it must be a "feature" of coor-dms. I would never have done that deliberately. Now I suppose it must be your turn to apologise for assuming bad faith - but I won't insist! --Red King 18:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Amateur radio

Hello. I see that you have listed yourself as a licensed Amateur radio operator. Please consider taking a look at a proposal to setup a WikiProject Amatateur radio. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 18:42, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] St Andrews University

If it's not too strange to ask a fellow Wikipedian, can I ask what St Andrews Uni is like? I'm an A2 student, perhaps thinking of going there. I notice from your user page that you're a science student there. How good is the Sciences department there (I'm planning on studying Computer Science)? How good are computer facilities/availability? What sort of culture is it there, from some pictures I've seen it looks quite traditional, but as its Scotland I'm assuming it's a bit less uppity than Oxbridge? What's the town like? What's the countryside like? (I'm into hiking/hillwalking.)

If you can find the time to answer, thanks. --Uberisaac 17:55, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the help, dude --Uberisaac 20:12, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sheffield Airport

Sorry, someone had told me that it was changing it's name, and provided me with the new logo. They said their account wasn't working, and asked me to update. It appears I've been the victim of a prank - SORRY.
