M-97 is a state trunkline in Michigan. It runs from Detroit to just north of Mt. Clemens. It starts at M-3 and follows Gunston Avenue, then turns into Hoover Street, follows north until it turns into Groesbeck Highway, just 1 block south of 8 Mile Road. Groesbeck continues mostly northeast until Hall Road, where M-97 ends. Groesbeck continues northward as North Avenue. The Highway is named after Alex Groesbeck, former Michigan governor.
