[edit] Route
M-19 begins at a junction with I-94 north of Detroit at exit 247. From there it runs parallel to I-94 until southeast of Richmond where it turns northward. Continuing north, M-19 has a junction with I-69 about 15 miles west of Port Huron at exit 184. From here the route continues north about 34 miles until reaching Sandusky where it takes a left turn. Multiplexed with M-46 for 5 miles, it then takes a right turn to continue its northerly course into the thumb of Michigan ending at a junction with M-142 three miles east of Bad Axe.
