M-144 (Michigan highway)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

M-144 was designated twice in Michigan's highway history.[1] The first time was used in East Lansing, beginning in 1936, as a spur route from M-39 (later M-43 and still later M-143) to the Michigan State Police Post. In 1940, the Lansing M-144 was returned to local control and the designation was placed on a road near Roscommon to M-72 near Luzerne. In 1973, M-144 became an extention of M-18, and the M-144 designation was retired a second time.
