Môtiers is a municipality in the district of Val-de-Travers, in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
The Vieux Château, or Old Castle, dating in part from the 14th century, stands on a rock sput between Val de Travers and the Bied valley. Today the property of the canton of Neuchâtel, it is occasionally used to host cultural events.
Motiers was the birthplace of Louis Agassiz, the noted zoologist.[1]
