I surmise that Áilill is connected with the legend attached to Cnoc Áine in Limerick? If not, is there any connection with Domhnach Seachnaill (Dún Seachlainn in secular records) in Meath where there is a Máel Dúin housing estate now and from whence came Máel Seachlainn? Máel Seachlainn II succeeded Brian Ború as High King in the eleventh century.
