J.L. Halsey Corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Lyris Technologies, Inc., provides email marketing software and services for creating, managing, and delivering online permission-based direct marketing programs, newsletters, discussion groups, and other digital communications. The company’s primary software product includes ListManager, which manages email address lists and enables customers to develop, send, and monitor email mailings. ListManager also permits organizations to design custom email campaigns. J.L. Halsey also offers hosted email marketing solutions based on the ListManager platform under two brands, ListHosting and SparkList. These services enable clients to create, send, and monitor email campaigns with only a web browser. The company also offers other products, including emailAdvisor, MailEngine. emailAdvisor is a deliverability monitoring tool, which enables the delivery of legitimate email. MailEngine is a simple mail transfer protocol mail transfer agent that sends the email out through the Internet’s mail system. In addition, J.L. Halsey sells email security and antispam software called MailShield. MailShield is a server-based email filtering application that allows organizations to manage and prevent unauthorized inbound and outbound email. The company’s customers include various departments of the U.S. government, national political campaigns, local governments and political campaigns, charitable organizations, and athletic teams. J.L. Halsey is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware.
