Lynemouth

Lynemouth is a village in Northumberland, England. The village is situated 3 miles North East of Ashington, and lies on the bank of the River Lyne from which it takes its name. The village of Ellington is located to the north west. The villages' location was decided by its close proximity to coal mines.

To the south of the village is the Alcan Lynemouth Aluminium Smelter and power station.
